Quiver trees
Quiver trees are found in the southern part of Namibia and in the border region of South Africa. There are impressive quiver tree forests around the Keetmanshoop. In summer (June-July) the trees bear beautiful flowers. You can take a perfect photo at sunset. Then the trees shine in impressive golden tones.
Namib desert
The Namib Desert is the oldest desert in the world. The sand dunes are up to 300m high and are among the largest in the world. At sunrise, the famous Dune 45 shines in a wonderful light. Dune 45 is located in the Namib Naukluft Park. A visit to Sossusvlei and Deadvlei are a highlight of any Namibia trip.
Spitzkoppe
Between Windhoek and Swakopmund are the Erongo Mountains and the Spitzkoppe. This is also called the Matterhorn of Namibia. Here you will find the most interesting rock formations. The Spitzkoppe is over 1700m high and can be seen from afar. You can take great photos here, especially at sunrise and sunset as well as at night.
